SAG Awards 2023: Red-Carpet Highlights

From Cara Delevingne’s dazzling black ensemble to Zendaya’s triumphant return to the red carpet, discover the best dressed celebrities of the night.

This Sunday, February 26, the SAG Awards 2023 returned to the spotlight – a ceremony that recognizes the best film and television works of 2022, awarding the best actors and actresses.

The great list of Hollywood actors, including Cate Blanchett, Brendan Fraser, Zendaya, Jessica Chastain, Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis and more, demonstrated once again a red carpet that reflected the personal style of each celebrity, giving an excellent combination between fashion and trends. From shimmering satin gowns, such as the pink Valentino flower-embellished design worn by Zendaya, to the lace garments on Rooney Mara and Cate Blanchett, colour and texture reigned supreme on the SAG Awards red carpet. We must also highlight Cara Delevingne, who wore an exclusive design by Carolina Herrera. But they were not the only fashionistas, as leading men like Eddie Redmayne and Andrew Garfield also gave a style lesson in fine tailoring and shirts with lapels.

The event held at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles, California, United States, also highlighted great moments of awards. This 2023, “The Banshees of Inisherin” and “Everything Everywhere All at Once” dominated the 2023 Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations, taking home four wins out of five nominations. Also, with her role as country singer Tammy Wynette, American Jessica Chastain, wearing a dazzling magenta dress, won the award for best leading actress in a TV movie or miniseries for ‘George & Tammy’.

As we could see, the red carpet left us with beautiful looks, from dazzling dresses to elegant suits. Let’s take a closer look at the most avant-garde stars of the ceremony.

AMANDA SEYFRIED

Amanda Seyfried, a SAG nominee for Best Actress, stood out in her lime green Prada mini dress, complete with thin straps and a giant bow in the back. She also wore emerald, diamond and onyx earrings set in platinum by Cartier. She completed her look with black heels.

EMILY BLUNT & JOHN KRASINSKI

Emily Blunt, looked beautiful on the red carpet as she opted for a bright red bandage-style gown embroidered with pink geranium flowers from the Fall-Winter 2023 collection by Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia for Oscar de la Renta. She completed the look with a high jewelry Serpenti necklace with rubies and diamonds by Bulgari. On the other hand, John Krasinski opted for an elegant classic pinstripe suit by Dolce & Gabbana, with a watch chain hanging from a pocket and the IWC Portugieser chronograph on his left wrist.

ZENDAYA

Euphoria” star Zendaya stole the SAGs red carpet by dazzling in a super romantic Valentino piece: a strapless bustier gown made in pink duchesse silk satin with 190 roses. The plus? Her sparkling Bulgari jewelry! She wore a Bulgari high jewelry necklace showcasing a substantial trio of tanzanite, morganite and aquamarine.

ANDREW GARFIELD

The “Spiderman” star opted for a traditional double-breasted tuxedo with a white shirt. He added his personal style without wearing a tie and sported a bushy beard.

CARA DELEVINGNE

The “Carnival Row” star attended the SAG Awards 2023 wearing a luxe drama Carolina Herrera outfit with black floral detailing. The look featured a jumpsuit with overskirt. She completed the look with diamond jewels by De Beers and black stilettos.  

JULIA GARNER

Julia Garner was stunning in a mermaid-inspired metallic orange dress by Gucci, which featured scallop-like cups, pleated fabric at the elbows, a thigh-high slit and a bedazzled fishnet material. The “Inventing Anna” also wore high jewellery by Irene Neuwirth, including diamond stud earrings. She completed her look with gold metallic Gucci platform sandals.

JESSICA CHASTAIN

Jessica Chastain, who won a SAG Award for her performance in George & Tammy, wore a beautiful bold red taffeta gown from Zuhair Murad’s Spring-Sumer 2023 ready-to-wear collection. She also wore a statement cocktail ring by Gucci.

EDDIE REDMAYNE

The “Fantastic Beasts” star, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Good Nurse, opted for a white skirt with huge sculpted collar for the red carpet. He paired his look with black suit pants.
