BAFTA Awards 2023: Fashion Highlights From The Red Carpet

Take a look at this year’s best dressed BAFTAs, from a dazzling Anya Taylor-Joy to Ana de Armas’ angelic look.

Ana de Armas and Austin Butler

The BAFTA Film Awards 2023 took place on Sunday in London, where the arrival of Florence Pugh, Hoyeon Jung and Ana de Armas, along with Austin Butler, Rege-Jean Page and Ed Westwick did not go unnoticed. The event was attended by the likes of Prince William and Kate Middleton and was held at its new home at the Royal Festival Hall in London.

The awards ceremony began with Austin Butler taking home the Best Actor trophy for his role as singer Elvis in the film, while Cate Blanchett won Best Actress for the film Tar. The German movie All Quiet on the Western Front stood out by winning seven awards, including Best Picture.

As expected, celebrities attended the event in their finest attire, bringing glamour to the BAFTA Film Awards 2023 red carpet with voluminous, exaggerated sleeves, elbow-length gloves and floaty capes. Unlike the Grammys, where sparkles and silver were the big players, these awards show brought many more simple, toned-down black looks. There were some dazzling ones, like Anya Taylor-Joy, who wore a shiny velvet mini-dress and matching Schiaparelli cape, or Florence Pugh, who wore ruffles to the carpet in a bright orange Nina Ricci gown and a fan hairstyle that was definitely a great style lesson.

Royalty was certainly the theme at the Royal Festival Hall at London’s Southbank Centre, where several actors looked majestic, as well as the glamorous arrival of Prince William and his wife, Princess Kate, who made their spectacular return to the BAFTA red carpet dressed to the nines.
