The Critics’ Choice Awards took place last Sunday and of course, we know you’re waiting for a compilation of the best looks, so here we bring you a small summary of 6 of our favourite celebrities.

Awards season is finally here, and stylists, designers and fashionistas are shining brightly on the red carpets. The 28th Critics’ Choice Awards were held on 15 January at the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles (California). Unlike red carpets such as the Golden Globes or the Oscars, the attendees at this year’s awards opted for more relaxed and casual looks. Many top celebrities looked amazing this year, including Viola Davis, Janelle Monae and Michelle Yeoh. From the way they styled their hair and make-up, they highlighted their silhouettes and played with colour and unique, flattering cuts.
The big winner of the night, with Chelsea Handler as presenter, was Brendan Fraser of Dior Men for Best Actor for The Whale. Cate Blanchett as Best Actress for Tar, who chose an elegant grey Max Mara gown; and Nicy Nash-Betts, who won Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Television Movie for Dahmer the Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.

Kate Hudson
Kate Hudson glimmered on the red carpet in a diaphanous silver tulle gown embellished with beading and floral appliques by Oscar de la Renta. Hudson paired the look with high-jewellery diamonds by Bulgari and Christian Louboutin’s Marchavekel knotted peep-toe sandal.

Aubrey Plaza
Aubrey Plaza’s custom Louis Vuitton gown was fully embellished with burgundy sequins and crafted with a high slit. The buzzy ‘White Lotus’ actress paired the gown with Louis Vuitton platform sandals and jewels by Pomellato.

Elle Fanning
‘The Great’ star Elle Fanning clearly isn’t tired of wearing a corset — or of making it look thoroughly chic. The actress chose a cream bustier gown with plenty of structure and cut-out detail from Alexander McQueen’s most recent collection. She paired it with jewels by Irene Neuwirth, including the designer’s one-of-a-kind Golden Blossom Sunflower earrings, and Christian Louboutin’s gold So Kate pumps.

Anya Taylor-Joy
Anya Taylor-Joy chose an ankle-skimming but voluminous gown by Dior that was completely sheer and featured delicate embroidery, adding a dramatic updo to the Fifties-inspired ensemble.

Henry Golding
The Critics’ Choice Awards presenter, Henry Golding opted for the go-to fabric he favours on many red carpets, velvet, in this case a deep emerald green Boss tuxedo, paired with a black turtleneck.

Madelyn Cline
Madelyn Cline brought the drama in a fully feathered gown by Givenchy.
