From tall boots to peep-toe pumps, check out our favourite takes on the seasons hottest shoe trends below.

Louis Vuitton SS’23

Spring is officially here, and we couldn’t be more excited. While we love the good basic, never-fail shoes we’ve had for years, your shoe closet deserves the same love you show the rest of your closet. That’s why it’s time for you to get to know the models and varieties that will be and are trending this year and that both on the runways and in street style serve as pure inspiration when it comes to dressing up.

Some shoe trends we are starting to see this year are the spiked heels, the clogs and the infallible cowboy boots that continue to be a necessary classic in your closet (yes, they are back and better than ever). Other hot shoe trends for spring 2023 range from ballet core shows to nonchalant gladiator sandals. Both, but especially the latter, are great multi-season footwear. In addition, classic pointed heels appeared at several shows, including Bevza, Jason Wu and Elena Velez. Most were in solid colours, such as white or basic black, but we also saw Victor Glemaud’s shiny metallic look.

There are so many stylish shoes to choose from that will keep you looking fashionable while enhancing your outfits for this season. There is something for everyone and for every occasion when it comes to shoe trends. Take a look to find the five shoe trends that will make you want to wear them right away.

CLOGS

While Y2K styles and 90s aesthetics have recently been at the forefront of fashion, clogs, a 70s favourite, are making waves this spring. They give off wonderful bohemian vibes.

COWGIRL BOOTS

Western-inspired boots are sticking around for this spring. Plus, there are many colourful, metallic and whimsical print versions of cowboy boots that work for everyone from country music fans to city girls. The more true to the original style, the more versatile they are. They were spotted at Isabel Marant, Ralph Lauren, Ganni, Molly Goddard and David Koma, to name a few.

BALLETFLATS

Ballet slippers entered the fashion scene this fall and quickly took over Instagram as part of the #balletcore aesthetic. This Spring 2023, the trend is a very literal version of actual ballet slippers with brands like Miu Miu and Sandy Liang creating stylish sneakers that they showed off on their runways. If you love the look of ballet slippers but aren’t sure how to pair them, ballerinas look great with baggy cargo pants or jeans and a bomber jacket as well.

POINTED TOE

Fashion houses, such as Victor Glemaud, Bottega Veneta, Christian Siriano, and Prabal Gurung, are some of the labels bringing pointed toes to this spring of 2023. And just like that, pointed toes are back in style. Slay any outfit wearing this classic yet glamorous shoe trend. You will love it!

Lace-up gladiator heels have been defining trend in the last several years, but now they are also making a big comeback for Spring 2023. Fashion houses such as Prabal Gurung, Gucci, Versace, and Christian Dior have been including these outstanding shoe silhouette styles in their collections. Gladiator sandals will always be that good choice for Spring and Summer seasons.
