Explore the Bay Harbour Islands Residence

This incredible residence is located in Miami, specifically in the “Bay Harbour Islands” community. It is a beautiful 5,300-square-foot, five-bedroom, five-and-a-half bath residence nestled amongst lush green palm trees. Tasked with creating a refined, minimalist home for a growing family, the residence features monochromatic tones and a simple aesthetic while keeping functionality at the core of the design.

Drawing inspiration from the open and airy architecture, the two-story residence adopted a fairly minimalistic design approach.

A striped marble slab cascading from the second level down to the driveway cleverly guides one’s gaze from top to bottom and across the residence. Wooden elements applied to the front door and garage opening help soften the space and create a subtle juxtaposition of materials on the exterior.

Once you enter the home, the entryway is fully illuminated for visitors thanks to a striking, custom 40-light black chandelier that suspends from above. Slatted wall detailing beginning at the ground level continues up to the second floor, adding another textural layer to the space while filling the double-height ceiling.

On the first floor, there is an open concept that encapsulates the living room, dining room, kitchen, and full bar. The expansive sofas and a double-height gas fireplace create a warm environment to unwind and entertain. Moreover, Full-sized cabinets and broad countertops in the kitchen provide plenty of space for the homeowners to cook and gather. Varying patterns and textures featuring a black and white colour palette wrap the walls, while subtle pops of muted browns, tans, and pinks add personality to each room.

There is a mix of materials included in the home such as wood, marble, quartz, porcelain, and glass, which add movement and more texture. The custom millwork and varied lighting fixtures tie the individual elements together.

The bedrooms and nursery follow suit, carrying out the minimalist qualities with layers of texture and muted tones. Visual interest is an important element added through the custom wall coverings and window treatments that contrasted with classic furnishings.

We can also find other areas in the residence, including a home office and media room/library. The highly detailed lighting package amplifies the residence’s overall glamour through spherical pendants and delicate chandeliers. Meanwhile, floor-to-ceiling windows installed in the front and rear allow natural light to flood the home during the day and connect the interiors to its Floridian surroundings.

If we go outside, the homeowner can enjoy a back patio and side balconies, both perfect escapes to relax and enjoy the Florida breeze and coastal nature.
