On 7 November, New York rolled out the white carpet for the CDFA Fashion Awards, the so-called ‘Oscars of fashion. The 41st edition came with an expected novelty, the first ‘stylist of the year award.

Led by Gabriela Hearst, Joseph Altuzarra, and the Kardashian-Jenner sisters, Gigi Hadid, Ashley Graham and Katie Holmes, the celebration surprised us with striking fashion and beauty styles.

Our favourite stars rocked the white carpet at their best. Julia Fox sported her new grey hair slicked back, while Kylie Jenner dazzled in a custom-made Mugler gown.

VANESSA HUDGENS

The singer and actress proved that bold makeup is always a good makeup choice for any outfit. For the occasion, Vanessa highlighted her deep brown eyes with sharp eyeliner and glamorous lashes. She also wore a deeply middle parted mane.

GIGI HADID

Supermodel Gigi Hadid hit the red carpet wearing rocker-chic grey lipstick, which contrasted perfectly with her bright blonde hair. “She said, I want a grey lip,” make-up artist Patrick Ta captioned his Instagram picture of Gigi Hadid, made up by him for the CFDA Fashion Awards. She also kept her hair slicked back into a messy bun – inspired by the ’90s hairstyle. What caught all our attention was the gold piercing she wore on her nose.

OLIVIA CULPO

Model and influencer, Olivia Culpo, looked amazing on the red carpet wearing shades of icy blue and smoky black around her eyes, while she kept the rest of her face framed by her full brows and delicate shades of pink.

KYLIE JENNER

Kylie Jenner looked so beautiful wearing piled-high soft curls and she placed her locks around her head. She completed the look with glowing makeup in nude tones and glossy lipstick.

HALLE BAILEY

Halley Bailey looked like a beautiful Princess in a sartorial high-braided bun atop her head. As regards her makeup look, the actress wore a brown eye shadow with a sharp wing above her black eyeliner.

JULIA FOX

Julia Fox dazzled on the red carpet wearing slicked gray tresses, which was “a love letter to getting older”. She completed the beauty look with dark makeup, no eyebrows, and subtly lips and chicks.
