The collection is centered around women empowerment, which is at the core of each brands’ DNA. Together, Mugler and Jimmy Choo celebrate strong, feminine, and glamorous women. The photographs are bold and dynamic, With Sora ChoiAweng Ade-Chuol, and Eartheater modeling sexy body-con silhouettes and sleek accessories that capture the spirit of this partnership. The collaboration is inspired by the French maison’s illustrious history and Jimmy Choo’s spectacular craftsmanship combined with the twenty-first-century personalities developed by both creative directors. With bold and dramatic views, the outcome is a unique blend of two different aesthetics that beautify and stimulate the senses.

The whole collection includes pumps, boots and sandals. It also presents both brand’s style and stays true to their roots. They have both updated their classic silhouettes and designs for the modern woman who is au fait with the power and attitude that a great pair of shoes can provide.

Mugler and Jimmy Choo are about strength – our women are strong, glamorous and in-control. Here, our women are literally the centre of every image: they are the stars. That these images are captured by a female photographer also adds an extra dimension – Harley’s work always celebrates femininity, a view of women by a woman. There’s an inherent strength to that, which is very Mugler, and quintessentially Jimmy Choo.” Sandra Choi says.

Black, nude and neon-yellow, are the main colour palette. As for the details, there is a lot of PVC, Mesh, and cut-outs.

In a homage to the female form, the capsule champions femininity, power and glamour while drawing on both brands’ vast archives and history of creating iconic designs.

There is an inherent connection between the language of Mugler and the language of Jimmy Choo,” Says Sandra Choi, Creative Director at Jimmy Choo. “Our roots in the ‘90s, the resonance they have today with a younger generation, but the drive to update, to redesign and not just revive.” She adds.

The “JCXM Sock Boots” are inspired by Mugler Creative Director Casey Cadwallader’s iconic “spiral” and “illusion” bodysuits and ticking off all the super-sexy, hype body-conscious and contouring trends in one fell swoop. It also features tiny buckled leather straps in a homage to Jimmy Choo’s leather sandals of the 1990s and the Mugler signature. Check the campaign below!
